Thelma worked in the BMI Post Office. Frank E. Hartman's letter conveyed thanks to plant workers for producing magnesium for incendiary bombs and the tracer bullets used to locate targets during nighttime bombing runs. A military instructor of bombardiers, Hartman had lived in the BMI townsite before being stationed at Greenville, South Carolina. |
