Summary:
Black and white photograph probably depicting preparations for the Southern Nevada Museum, which opened during the 1968 Industrial Days celebration. This photograph may show Henderson residents in the old high school gymnasium helping to unpack and display the original collection of Anna Roberts Parks (see link below). Bob Hampton is shown at left, working with Frank Morrell and dentist Stan Jones at right. The museum was open seven days a weeks with the aid of volunteer workers and became incorporated as a non-profit educational institution governed by a Board of Trustees with residents of both Henderson and Las Vegas.
