- Summary:
- The Henderson Coordinating Council minutes of 1953 address the desire for a town swimming pool, plans for recreational facilities, supervision of youth activities, juvenile delinquency, organization of a Juvenile Conference, bond issues for the completion of the new high school and construction of an elementary school, an extension of BMI Road to meet Highway 91, plans for a playground between Basic Road and Water Street, holiday party preparations, plans for a youth center, annual charity donations, and sponsorship and facilities for the Child Welfare Center. In addition to the minutes, there are two copies of letters written to businesses in thanks for food donated to the Council's annual Christmas basket charity.
