He talks about the state of Henderson's parks during his first years on the job and about some of the things he did to expand and improve upon the parks and recreational areas in the city. He refers to school parks, Green Valley parks, O'Callaghan Park, and the Arroyo Grande Sports Complex. He mentions several individuals who worked for the city and who helped the city face the many challenges posed by the growth that occurred throughout the 1980s and 1990s. This interview was conducted in celebration of Henderson's 50th year as an incorporated city.
