He talks about the early businesses in Henderson, raising a family, the dog track, the Lake Adair project, the churches, and Green Valley. The Hal Smith Elementary School was named after him. He also discusses the impact of the industrial plants and Basic Management, Inc. on the city's development. This interview was conducted in celebration of Henderson's 50th year as an incorporated city.
