|a Jack Jeffrey moved to Henderson in 1943 after his father got a job helping to construct BMI. He describes downtown Henderson in the early years and recalls that his Basic High School graduating class comprised only 97 kids. He also recalls the shutdown of the BMI plant and the impact on the community. He talks about his years on the City Council, the development of Green Valley, and the political opportunities afforded to everyone in the small town of Henderson. This interview was conducted in celebration of Henderson's 50th year as an incorporated city. |
