- Summary:
- Black and white photograph of James F. Orr, president of Basic Management, Inc., presenting a commemorative titanium plaque to Sister M. Georganne, hospital administrator. The plaque reads: "This intensive care unit equipment donated to Rose de Lima Hospital by American Potash and Chemical Corporation, Basic Management Incorporated, Stauffer Chemical Company, Titanium Metals Corporation of America, US Lime Flintkote Division August 15, 1968." The companies donated $18,500 for equipment and training for the intensive care unit, installed on the third floor of the hospital. The equipment consisted of a cardioscope, a heart rate meter, an autograph electrocardiograph, a defibrillator, an autosyncro trigger, a Pacemaker, a cardio-coach (an audio-visual teaching unit), and an electrocircle bed.
