- Summary:
- Black and white photograph showing children sleeping on a row of cots, with three women in background. The two women holding children are Mrs. Opal Legardy and Mrs. Lillian Garcia. The day care center, organized by the Neighborhood Council and sponsored by the Economic Opportunity Board, opened in the Carver Park administration building on December 10, 1968. The was no fee for qualified children, and the center was completely integrated.
