- Interview with Jeff Rosowski, conducted and filmed by Anne Marie Hamilton-Brehm at Paseo Verde Library in Henderson, Nevada, May 12, 2015. Known to many in the maker community as “Krux”, Rosowski works as a network engineer and serves as president of the non-profit SYN Shop: The Las Vegas Hackerspace. He teaches the Soldering workshop in Henderson Libraries’ Generation STEAM workshop series. Rosowski shares his beginnings in electronics, hands-on approach to learning, and the origin of the SYN Shop in 2010. He describes the rapid prototyping tools and varied activities of the SYN Shop, which attracts individuals and groups engaged in a range of innovation from electronics and software to woodworking, laser cutting, 3-D printing, crafts, and cosplay.
