- Interview with Bill Tomiyasu, conducted and filmed by Anne Marie Hamilton-Brehm at Paseo Verde Library in Henderson, Nevada, May 12, 2015. Tomiyasu works in real estate and is a former board member of the non-profit SYN Shop: The Las Vegas Hackerspace. He organized SYN Shop participation in Henderson Libraries' Generation STEAM workshop series in collaboration with Green Valley Library manager Stephen Platt. Tomiyasu shares his beginnings in hands-on learning and explains how he became associated with the SYN Shop in 2011. He provides details about SYN Shop activities and future plans, emphasizing the value of creating a community space for learning.
