Summary:
Black and white photograph showing a certificate being given to Paul Southers, an employee at Stauffer Chemical Company, qualified for membership in the "Wise Owl Club" because he was wearing eye protection that saved his eye from injury. Southers' cracked safety glasses are visible in the photograph. The Wise Owl Club was sponsored by the National Society for the Prevention of Blindness.
