- Summary:
- Black and white photograph of a group of young women washing two cars in the parking lot of a service station. The car wash, held on May 7th or 8th, 1955, was to raise money for a summer camp out. The participants were Jessie Chaffin, Virginia Hammond, Margaret Butler, Pat Van Horn, Mary Jamison, Carol White, Billie Chastain, Trudy Simpson, Mary Ann Shepherd, Judy Broyles, and Teresa Perrin. The leaders were Mrs. Earl Stokes and Mrs. Joseph Sandovich.
