- The theme of the 2014 Summer Reading Program Photography Contest is "The Elements". Participants may submit a digital photograph which best fits this theme and explain why. Entries will be accepted online between June 7, 2014 and August 30, 2014.
In answer to the question "How does your entry fit the contest theme?" the photographer answered: This photo fits the theme of the elements because it is a flower and lily pads on water. Water and earth are two of the four elements. I was in Costa Rica when I took this picture. I like taking photos and I saw this beautiful flower and wanted to capture it so that I could remember it forever. I like to draw and take pictures of flowers.
