- The theme of the 2014 Summer Reading Program Photography Contest is "The Elements". Participants may submit a digital photograph which best fits this theme and explain why. Entries will be accepted online between June 7, 2014 and August 30, 2014.
In answer to the question "How does your entry fit the contest theme?" the photographer answered: I call this picture that I snapped “Breeze”. It's interesting to me that something so basic such as air, water, and earth can produce such wonders! My picture shows how these elements can create a sea of color, a wonder of nature, and a transformation of a seed. I still remember this day as a gentle breeze caused these poppies to wave back and forth, quickly catching my attention. Elements: Earth, Air, Water and a Pop of Color!
