- Summary:
- The theme of the 2014 Summer Reading Program Photography Contest is "The Elements". Participants may submit a digital photograph which best fits this theme and explain why. Entries will be accepted online between June 7, 2014 and August 30, 2014.
In answer to the question "How does your entry fit the contest theme?" the photographer answered: I named my photo "Mountain Blood", because blood is red just like the formation at Red Rock, in my submission. Also, blood has iron in its composition, just like the mountain. This year's photo contest theme is "The Elements", and iron is an element in the periodic table. Also it was cloudy, windy, and about to rain, i.e., the natural elements. So my picture is relevant to the theme because the red rock has iron in it, which is a periodic table element, and it also included the natural elements: wind and rain.
