|a The theme of the 2014 Summer Reading Program Photography Contest is "The Elements". Participants may submit a digital photograph which best fits this theme and explain why. Entries will be accepted online between June 7, 2014 and August 30, 2014.
In answer to the question "How does your entry fit the contest theme?" the photographer answered: It shows what life was like in Nevada nearly one hundred years ago. It captures the dust dried around the whiskey bottle and shot glass, untouched. The cigar sits on top of a heavy layer of dirt from the sweeping desert winds. The undisturbed lays waiting for someone to discover it once more. |
