520 3    |a Fredric W. Watson’s family migrated to southern Nevada in 1946 and settled in Carver Park. He graduated from Bishop Gorman High School and earned his BA and MA in Education from Nevada Southern University. Following graduation, Watson served as an elementary school teacher and principal with Clark County School District for thirty-six years, with Fredric W. Watson Elementary School in North Las Vegas named in his honor. After retiring from CCSD, Watson advised Southern Nevada Water Authority on education outreach to schools while it was developing its education plan for Springs Preserve.
