- Summary:
- Sister Carol Ann Elya, O.P. was born in Muskegon, Michigan. During high school, she considered entering the military, but was instead convinced to become a nun, and joined the Adrian Dominican Sisters. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Education, Sister Carol earned a master’s degree in Physical Education from Northern Michigan University. Settling in Henderson, Nevada, she joined her Sisters in supporting St. Rose de Lima Hospital, where she works as Head Painter. In her spare time, she enjoys carpentry and woodworking. Sister Carol is also a blood plasma donor and volunteers each year for Nuns Build in New Orleans, Louisiana.
