Handwritten notes on the verso read: 58 Magnesium, Steve & Jane, Henderson, Nevada, 1942. Jane Fleming (1919-2010) and her sister Elizabeth Schwartz (1921-1991) were raised in Goodsprings, Nevada. Stephen's father, Edmund L. Fleming (1915-1990), was born in Minnesota. Arriving in Nevada in the late 1930s, he taught school in Pahrump, Nelson, and Goodsprings, Nevada. He worked at BMI until drafted for World War II. |
