Notes

Summary:
Michael Manion was born in 1941. He lived in Caliente, Nevada, while his father, Hugh Manion, was a fireman on the Union Pacific Railroad. After his father was transferred to southern Nevada in 1947, the family settled in Victory Village, moving twice more when homes became available in the Townsite. Manion shares stories about his family and growing up in Henderson, including recollections of the Victory Theater and its Saturday special events. Following his military service, Manion worked for the County Roads Department and the Clark County Juvenile Court Services Department, where he was a counselor and quartermaster to the Spring Mountain Youth Camp.
