- Summary:
- Giles L. “Bud” Franklin arrived in Henderson in the 1960s. He owned and operated several food and beverage establishments and served as a member of Henderson City Council. His wife, Kathleen, came to Henderson in the 1950s with her family. Her father, Buss Smith, helped found Bank of Nevada in Henderson. Kathleen attended school in Henderson and worked at the phone company for many years, later serving Henderson Public Libraries.
