Summary:
In addition to regular council business and membership applications, correspondence includes an appeal to state legislators to improve recreational facilities at Lake Mead, an argument for relaxing the rental policies in Victory Village and Carver Park to reduce vacancy, support for an animal control ordinance, a request for March of Dimes support, a request that the State Highway Department include Henderson on road maps, correspondence regarding transfer of utilities along with the BMI plant from federal to state control, a call to conserve power and water, promotion of Rose de Lima Hospital for the care of nearby highway accident victims, a resolution to enforce curfew restrictions on minors, improvement and creation of recreational facilities in Henderson, a pamphlet explaining community organization councils, expressions of gratitude to state legislators for securing funds to build Henderson school buildings, correspondence on the tenth anniversary of the Coordinating Council, recommendations for preventing failure of oil heaters during a parts shortage, and a list of Coordinating Council members.
