|a The theme of the 2012 Summer Reading Program Photography Contest is "After Hours". Participants may submit photographs that were taken at night or in low-light conditions. Entries will be accepted between June 9, 2012 and August 25, 2012. In answer to the question "How does your entry fit the contest theme?" the photographer answered: I took this picture as the sun was setting over Waikiki Beach [in] Honolulu, Hawaii. This picture captures a colorful scene across the sky as the sun sets and night falls over the Hawaiian skyline. The reflection of the sun on the water as night falls is nothing less than spectacular. |
