Notes
- Summary:
- The theme of the 2012 Summer Reading Program Photography Contest is "After Hours". Participants may submit photographs that were taken at night or in low-light conditions. Entries will be accepted between June 9, 2012 and August 25, 2012. In answer to the question "How does your entry fit the contest theme?" the photographer answered: Venus is usually called "The Morning/Evening Star". However, most people do not realize that they are seeing Venus, and not a star or airplane. These telescopic images showcase Venus during its evening appearance. Over the course of 3 months, Venus undergoes phase changes similar to our own moon, a wonderful sight to share with those who haven't seen it.
