- Clara 'Buckie' McCoig served as Rose de Lima Hospital's first nurse anesthetist. In this photograph, she is positioned next to a patient in a hospital room and appears to be administering anesthesia using the machine next to her. (This photograph was included as exhibit 7 in the "Women of St. Rose" project submitted by the St. Rose Dominican Hospitals Women's Committee for the Library of Congress' Local Legacy 2000 program.)
