- Summary:
- Michael Mayberry was Police Chief when this interview was conducted in 2003. He moved to Henderson in the late 1970s from Las Vegas in order to serve as a police officer for the City of Henderson. He talks about his early years with the Henderson police and about the changes that have occurred due to the tremendous growth of the city. He recalls the PEPCON explosion and its impact on the city, the police, and the fire department. He also describes the police department's role in city planning. This interview was conducted in celebration of Henderson's 50th year as an incorporated city.
