Mrs. Bartlett helped open the first bank in Henderson and worked as a banker for several years. She talks about several of the early businesses in downtown Henderson and the important role that many of the business leaders played in ensuring the survival and growth of the town. She talks specifically about St. Rose Hospital, Chism Homes, the Henderson Telephone Company, Dr. Phillips, and Lou La Porta. Selma Bartlett Elementary School in Henderson was named after her. This interview was conducted in celebration of Henderson's 50th year as an incorporated city.
