- Summary:
- Winnie Prince came to Henderson in 1942 after her husband found work at the BMI plant. She talks about rationing, growing a garden, and buying fruit to can so that her family never went hungry. She worked as a shell inspector at Rheem's Navy Plant in order to earn extra money.
