- In this 1943 photograph, featured in the BMI newsletter Basic Bombardier, the first family in Carver Park poses outside their home. The Williams family traveled from Arkansas to live in Henderson while Robert C. Williams worked as a cell attendant for BMI. From left to right: Robert C. Williams (husband), Rose Lee (wife), Theodore (14), Cleopatra (13), Roscoe (9), Clarice (5), Yvonne, 3. Employee housing was segregated at the Henderson, Nevada BMI townsite. Carver Park was the housing area available to BMI employees of African-American descent. ( ,,,,,, )
