- Exterior view of a peat storage building at BMI. The note accompanying the original photograph states: Like a scene in the Egyptian desert in the preparation area of Basic Magnesium's giant plant now nearing completion in the Southern Nevada desert. The pyramidal form of 540 x 100 ft. peat storage buildings is reminiscent of the Nile country. This photograph was taken by Fritz Henle according to the Library of Congress.
