- Summary:
- Two magnesium-oxide silos at BMI. These silos were located in the neutralization area. A note accompanying the original photograph reads: Giant silos for the storage of raw materials for the manufacture of magnesium. [They] tower 84 ft. in the Southern Nevada Desert. They are part of the huge Basic Magnesium plant near Las Vegas. This photograph was taken by Fritz Henle according to the Library of Congress.
