Summary:
Robert Teitelbaum joined the Signal Corp. hoping to work into the Air Corp. When the opportunity he arose, he applied for Artillery MCS. On April Fool's Day he became a Second Lieutenant in the Artillery. Later on he applied for Liaison Pilot training and was accepted. He flew 75 combat missions in Italy during WWII. In Korea he flew 300 combat missions in an unarmed plane, where his job was adjusting field artillery and naval gun fire and leading air strikes on enemy targets.
