520 3    |a Abe Ginsberg describes his life while growing up in a religious Jewish household with Russian immigrant parents. He was drafted into the Army Air Corp during World War II. While on board the ship sailing to England and the European Theater, a volunteer was needed to perform the religious service one Friday night. Abe knew the service and had cantor training, so he sang the Jewish service that night. The chaplain wanted him to be his assistant. Abe agreed and that is how he ended up serving his country during the War.
