Her family moved to Henderson n 1943. Her father co-owned and managed the Henderson pool hall and bowling alley, where Peisker sold concessions. Peisker shares memories of early Henderson, including St. Peter\u2019s Church, local businesses, and the beginnings of telephone service. In her senior year at Basic High School, Peisker served as the Girls Athletic Association president, organizing regional sporting events and competing in basketball and softball.
