Notes
- Summary:
- Lorna Kesterson moved to Henderson from Boulder City in 1953. She worked as a reporter for the Henderson Home News for a number of years covering city government and then served as the city's mayor from 1985-1993. She recalls the early years of Henderson when only a few businesses served the area and everyone knew each other. She reflects on the growth of the city, the building of a new city hall, and the Chamber of Commerce's role in business development. The recreation center at Morrell Park was originally named for her as was Kesterson Elementary School. This interview was conducted in celebration of Henderson's 50th year as an incorporated city.
